First Visit! Air Canada Airbus A220-300 Arriving and Departing | Toronto Pearson Int’lHere we have it! The Airbus A220-300 has been delivered to Air Canada! Congrats to the airline and may it serve you well into the future!

Air Canada placed an order of 44 (with option of 30 more) Airbus A220-300 aircraft or the Bombardier CSeries 300’s as they were previously called before Airbus’ acquiring of the Bombardier produced aircraft in June of 2016 with entry into service planned for January 2020. As of a few days ago, the first aircraft; C-GROV has been delivered to the airline after successful test runs at Montreal-Mirabel Int’l.

For us in Toronto, the aircraft paid us a Christmas treat as it filed into Toronto on the evening of 23DEC19, a few days earlier in which we expected it. ACA7173 arrived on RWY 05 in Toronto from Ottawa shortly after 2200hrs and parked at the Air Canada hangars for an overnight. The following day, 24DEC19, the aircraft departed RWY 06L in the morning for some test runs in Ottawa and Montreal-Mirabel before once again returning to Toronto as ACA7172 around noon and departing back to Montreal off of RWY 06L as ACA7174.

Congrats one again to Air Canada on the new aircraft and may it serve you well into the future!
