The F-35A At Lielvarde Air Base, LatviaU.S. Air Force F-35A Lightning II fighter jets deployed from the 388th and 419th Fighter Wings, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, land to conduct hot pit refuelings during Operation Rapid Forge at Lielvarde Air Base, Latvia, July, 23, 2019. This is the first time a U.S. Air Force F-35 Lightning II stealth fighter has landed in Latvia. Operation Rapid Forge is intended to enhance interoperability with NATO allies to improve combined operational capabilities.
