RARE! Antonov Airlines Antonov An-124 Departure @ Toronto Pearson Int’l
RARE! Antonov Airlines Antonov An-124 Departure @ Toronto Pearson Int’l January 21, 2018Remember that Antonov An-124-100 that broke down at Toronto Pearson Int’l in early January, well, here she is, all fixed up and ready to go. So the problem with this bird was the far right engine # four with a starter problem. In a week’s time she was fixed and ready to head out so I went out on that Sunday night to catch her departure.
ADB306F filed on 21JAN18, Sunday night to Chateauroux, France with a planned departure time of 1915hrs. As soon as I got to the Cargo West, I got her clearance and she was assigned a RWY 24R departure. I met up with a couple of friends to film her push-back and start up before getting ready to head off to RWY 06R to film her departing. She did wait a bit on the Cargo West apron to make sure everything was ok and then taxied out to RWY 24R requesting a five minute engine run-up and then departed right off from there! I only managed to catch her a bit after rotating as she flew off into the low cloud cover with some excellent sound!
Enjoy the video everyone! And I’ll catch you all in the next one!
