RCAF CF-18B Hornet Landing RWY 23 @ Toronto Pearson Int’l
RARE: RCAF CF-18B Hornet Landing RWY 23 @ Toronto Pearson Int’l January 1, 2017Hello everyone! Welcome! This is my first video in 2017 and what a way to start the year with a Royal Canadian Air Force CF-18B Hornet Landing on RWY 23. This Hornet was from 3rd Wing Bagotville, Quebec, from 433 Porcupine Squadron and was in the area to do the flyover for the Detroit Red Wings vs. Toronto Maple Leafs NHL Centennial Classic. After the flyover was done, we heard him call in on the radio as “TIPIC51” and he came in and landed on RWY 23. The two best parts about this were 1) the second pilot waived to us just as he was passing by the parking garage where we were and 2) the sunlight completely blinded me so it was a complete surprise when I saw that it 188933, the Hornet that had the 433 Porcupines Tail colors which also happens to be the same one I got in November of 2016 for the 2016 Grey Cup Flyover at BMO Field. Enjoy the video and I’ll catch you in the next one! 🙂
