Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum Skyfest 2015 Part 2 (Flights, Accident and Lysander Formation)

Hello everyone! Welcome to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum Skyfest Part 2. this version is longer than Part 1 since I needed to compile as much as I could. Video starts off with a CH-146 Griffon Transport and Rescue Helicopter landing just north of the boundaries. This was followed by some more aircraft in the air such as the Harvard, the P-51 Mustang coming in for landing and the Museum’s Westland Lysander.

And then something unfortunate happened. An accident. There was a PT-17 Stearman taxiing out from the ramp heading towards the RWY. The pilot wasn’t looking where he was going and reacted to the shouts from the CH-146 Griffon crew who were yelling at him to lookout. And as soon as he realized he slammed the brakes hard and nosed over the aircraft. I didn’t see what happened, but heard a loud BOOM! Thankfully no one was hurt and the crews used a crane to get the aircraft back in 30 mins. Great job by everyone.

Moving on, the rest of the video we see the CH-146 Griffon departure and the two Westland Lysanders starting their engines and taking off to see history in the making. Two Lysanders in formation at the same time. Awesome! They flew two passes over the Museum before landing. You also see fly bys of the Harvard and the Mitchell before they landed.
