RARE: Lufthansa Boeing 747-8i Landing RWY 23 @ Toronto Pearson Int’l May 30, 2015IN THIS VIDEO: Welcome everyone! On Friday, August 22, 2014 I said in my YouTube channel description “I know that I will catch this aircraft on this channel one day”, making a reference to the Lufthansa Boeing 747-8i. And today I did! I got alerted from Flight Radar 24 that Lufthansa was sending a Boeing 747-8i today, D-ABYG from Frankfurt. After helping out at my friends booth at the Mississauga Multicultural Festival held at Streetsville Memorial Park, I headed out to RWY 23 to the Wendy’s and Country style and then to the Parking Garage. Soaking wet, I dried in time to catch the Queen 8i landing! She was an awesome sight, right in the rain, and it all made for the better! Afterwards, I raced up to get a video of it taxiing as well, which was all worth it. So the Cathay Pacific Cargo and the Lufthansa Boeing 747-8F and Boeing 747-8i that I missed on Friday, August 22, 2014 I caught on Friday, May 22, 2015 and Saturday, May 30, 2015, almost a week apart! And it’s ironic too that my YouTube channel happens to have 470 and 471 subs now, which is Lufthansa’s flight numbers inbound and outbound to Toronto respectively.
