Ex-5B-DCJ, now under the reg LY-VEK visited Larnaca Airport from Newcastle on 23 May 2015 and here is its departure from NCL.
Even though I could not make it to the airport to film this aircraft’s first landing at LCA after departing from the airport two days after Cyprus Airways closed (I filmed it depart that day), a friend of mine was kind enough to catch the train to Newcastle airport to film the aircraft departing from Newcastle to Larnaca. It might be LY-VEK operating for Thomas Cook, but it still has the colours of Cyprus Airways, a constant reminder of the presence of Cyprus Airways in our hearts… Watch the gorgeous A320 taxi right in front of you and take to the skies at Newcastle airport..
