Lockheed Martin announces new leadership appointments
Lockheed Martin announced the appointments of Patricia L. Lewis, 52, to senior vice president of Human Resources and Jennifer M. Whitlow, 42, to senior vice president of Communications. Lewis and Whitlow were also elected corporate officers. Both appointments are effective Jan. 1, 2015.
Lewis has more than 25 years of experience in developing and implementing global human resources strategies. She joined Lockheed Martin in 2011 as vice president, Human Resources for the Electronic Systems business area and currently serves as the vice president, Human Resources for Information Systems & Global Solutions. Before joining Lockheed Martin, Lewis served in a variety of increasingly responsible positions at IBM and DuPont. Lewis holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Relations Management from the University of Bridgeport.
Whitlow brings more than 20 years of corporate communications and marketing experience to the role. She was appointed to her current position of vice president of Corporate Communications in 2013 and previously served as the Corporation’s vice president of Media Relations and chief spokesperson. Prior to joining Lockheed Martin in 2010, Whitlow held a number of roles of increasing responsibilities with United Technologies Corporation and Cessna Aircraft Company. She holds a Master in Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Business Administration and Aviation Safety from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
