Boeing names Donna Hrinak president Boeing Latin America

Boeing announced today that Donna Hrinak, president of Boeing Brazil, will have expanded responsibilities to include all of Latin America. She will continue heading Boeing in Brazil from São Paulo while leading the company’s strategy to grow regional market opportunities in Latin America as president of Boeing Latin America.

Hrinak joined Boeing in 2011 as the president of Boeing Brazil. She has been responsible for implementing a comprehensive company-to-country strategy that grew Boeing’s presence through new sites and a research and technology center. Boeing also developed new partnerships with customers, industry, government, educational institutions and the community.

“Donna has been successful growing Boeing’s presence in Brazil and advancing our business interests,” said Shep Hill, president of Boeing International and senior vice president of Business Development and Strategy. “Expanding Donna’s responsibilities will enable Boeing to benefit from her in-depth knowledge and experience of Latin America and better serve this important and rapidly growing aerospace market.”

Hrinak’s experience in the region is extensive. She served as United States ambassador to Brazil (2002–2004), Venezuela (2000–2002), Bolivia (1997–2000) and the Dominican Republic (1994–1997). From 1991-1993, she was deputy assistant secretary of state for the U.S. Office of Inter-American Affairs, responsible for overseeing U.S. policy and relations with Mexico and the Caribbean. Hrinak also held corporate leadership positions with PepsiCo and Kraft Foods covering the region. She is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Polish.
