CFS – Scenery Nauru And Ocean Island. CFS version of Nauru and Ocean Island (currently “Banaba”), located at equatorial zone, between Micronesia and Gilbert islands, under Japanese occupation. During WWII, Nauru suffered heavy damage by “Komet” German auxiliary cruiser, before Japanese occupation. Komet shelled Nauru’s phosphate mining areas, oil storage depots, and the shiploading cantilever. Japanese troops occupied Nauru on 25 August 1942. The Japanese built an airfield which was bombed by allied air raids, but the island remained japanese until war’s end. By Edmundo Abad.
