X-Plane 9.70 – Scenery 6S6 Powers State
X-Plane 9.70 – Scenery 6S6 Powers State 1.00. Powers field is on the Coquille River about 14 miles on a heading of 290 from Winkle Bar, Oregon (OR), USA. The difficulty on this one was installing the Coquille River (South Fork) valley from the Powers town center to just below the city park. As you approach, pick out the slightly darker color of the strip to line up. There are a pair of white-painted tires at each end, marking the ‘thresholds’ of the strip. You ‘feel’ the roughness if you stray from the 60 foot wide ‘turf.’ It’s 2500 feet long, so many Piper and Cessna planes can use it, even twins like the Baron and the C-340. Your takeoff heading should be about 130. Buildings are new and OpenSceneryX, grasses by Simon W. This scenery only adds structures around the airport, leaving the town of Powers for a future rainy day project. Requires OpenSceneryX. By Richard Nilsson.
