FS2004 – Scenery Cold Lake CEN5 And CYOD
FS2004 – Scenery Cold Lake CEN5 And CYOD, Alberta, Canada. Cold Lake is at 1786 feet asl, 140 miles northeast of Edmonton and close to the Alberta/Saskatchewan border. This scenery includes a modified AFCAD for CYOD (with John Stinstrom’s OK; his air base scenery of CYOD should be installed first CYOD_J.ZIP) and new AI so that there are pairs of F18s taking off every 20 minutes or so. This means that the nearby Cold Lake Regional CEN5 works within the busy environment of flights to and from the nearby base. CEN5 may have “Regional” attached to its name, but there are now no scheduled flights and it is a peaceful and relaxed little airfield with 3000 feet of asphalt. There is fuel, a small clubhouse building, and some hangars. Right-hand circuits for runway 25, and the video illustrates how the air base atc controls all flights. By Roger Wensley.
