Departure from Los Angeles (LAX) with a KLM MD-11

After a great time in The States, it was time to go home. We booked the seasonal KL604 flight, an extra flight between AMS-LAX only operating in June and September besides the daily service from KLM with their 747. Departure time suited more (late afternoon) and because of the plane, the MD-11. KLM is retiring their MD-11 fleet, so this is a great chance to fly one! We departed from Terminal 2 gate 28, the view is from seat 14A. The date was June 13, 2013.
The MD-11 feels not old at all, and my travel buddy even liked the MD-11 a bit more than the 747 we arrived with. Enjoy the video!
