Two weeks ago five planespotters witnessed the last departure of a civilian DC-10 in Europe. The previous operator of this classic bird was “Avient”. Sadly Avient ceased operations and replaced its old Dc-10 with a converted MD-11 by the aviation company World Airways. The new company name is AV Cargo. The previous registration Z-ALT has already been replaced by a temporary “N” Regstiration which was just used to ferry the plane over the Atlantic Ocean. The Dc-10 left for Crestville (Florida), where it will be scrapped.
