Gulf Air Appoints New Country Manager for Oman
Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom Bahrain, has appointed Mr. Ahmed Ali Ramadhan as the airline’s country manager to the Sultanate of Oman. Mr. Ramadhan, a Bahraini national, was previously based in Cairo where he held the position of country manager to Egypt for three years.
Gulf Air’s Acting Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Ahmed Janahi, commented on the appointment: “During his time with Gulf Air, Ahmed has been instrumental in delivering sales results while building strong relationships with the airline’s key travel agents and corporates. His decade-long career in the aviation industry and strong interpersonal skills leave him perfectly positioned to drive the commercial performance of one of Gulf Air’s most longstanding and important routes.”
Oman is an important market for Gulf Air due to the airline’s ties with the Sultanate, dating back to Gulf Air’s formation in 1950. Currently Gulf Air operates 21 weekly flights between Muscat and Bahrain providing excellent connectivity via Bahrain to key destinations in the Middle East, Europe, the Indian Sub-Continent and the Far East such as Frankfurt, Bangkok and Delhi in less than two hours.
