Baltic Aviation Academy’s webinar on approaches and landing
On the 2nd of July, at 17:00 (GMT+3) the aviation training centre Baltic Aviation Academy, will deliver a webinar presentation on approaches and landing entitled ‘Improve your landing’.

Baltic Aviation Academy is continuing series of webinars revealing situations which are taught and proceeded throughout flight practices on Full Flight Simulator. The webinar footage is composed of a full flight simulator session in which crew will demonstrate approach patterns as visual and circling approaches, Instrument landing system (ILS), Non-Directional Beacon (NDB), VHF omnidirectional range (VOR)/Distance measuring equipment DME.
‘It is well known fact that good landings are the result of good approaches involving procedures as flying the airplane, changing configuration, and changing your speed, distance, and altitude with respect to ground references and navigation instruments. We hope that with the help of our webinar series, future pilots will not only get acquired with type rating process but also will get the basic knowledge about pilot profession’, said Virginija Dudenaite, Project Manager at Baltic Aviation Academy.
Even 36% of aircraft accidents occur during final approach and landing, 25% – are fatal. 14% of accidents happen at the beginning of descending and initial approach, 16% ends up as fatalities.
