USAF Virtual Group Recruiting
Welcome to US Air Force vGroup founded in 2009 as Virtual Military Airlift Command [VMAC] re-branded as USAvAMC [Virtual Air Mobility Command] and later USAvSAMC [Strategic Air Mobility Command] The rebranding was a result of members requesting air assets which were not unique to the particular command. Roy Elliman and I decided to go with the complete USAF theme, with a twist which included a space shuttle program.
USAFvGroup is comprised of two platforms, Microsoft MSFS FS2004/FSX and Space Shuttle mission 2007 [A payware product]. In their own right they are not compatible, so we had to develop our program to utilize both platforms.
Presently the USAFv space program is classified. Part of this classification is a result of Microsoft pulling the plug on its multiplay server. So we are working to come up with an alternative.
USAFv supports our renown free flight mode [Charter system] scheduled routes and approximately 16 mission based programs in PDF form.
We have no heavy structure, no VATSIM requirement, no aircraft restriction. We do have a minimum flight duration of all assets of one hour and we do enforce this.
USAv is made up of retired and active military, commercial private pilots and hobbyist.
The whole concept of USAFv is to provide a relaxing environment for Simmers, you fly when you have the time, no one is going to bump you because you decided to take a break. All of us have been down the road of “As Real As It Gets” now we just want to chill and have fun.
Give us a look see, our doors are wide open, we have nothing to hide as many sites want you to join before you see what’s inside.
