Gulfstream promotes Joe Drake to Vice President, Real Estate and Facilities
Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. has promoted Joe Drake to the position of vice president, Real Estate and Facilities, effective immediately. He will continue to report to Ira Berman, senior vice president, Administration and General Counsel.
In his new role, Drake will continue to oversee all of the company’s real estate transactions, including construction and development projects, as well as the worldwide implementation of Gulfstream’s facility master plan. In addition to these responsibilities, he will assume oversight of the management and maintenance of Gulfstream’s existing real estate and facility assets in Savannah and Brunswick, as well as security and business continuity planning.
“Joe brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and judgment to his new position,” said Berman. “He has led the on-schedule, on-budget performance of Gulfstream’s expansion activities in recent years. Joe’s expertise and experience will prove to be invaluable in his expanded role.”
Most recently, Drake served as director, Real Estate, Gulfstream. Prior to coming to Gulfstream in 2007, he worked as executive vice president at Orr Partners in Falls Church, Va., where he oversaw the management of large commercial, institutional and retail projects. Drake has more than 32 years of experience in the design and development of commercial, industrial and residential building projects.
Drake received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and pre-law from the University of Kentucky in Lexington. He currently serves as a board member for the Georgia Southern University Foundation.
