“Our large installed base of simulators and training devices around the world continue to provide a steady source of orders for ongoing sustainment, maintenance and support services,” said Gene Colabatistto, Group President, Military Products, Training and Services, CAE. “We are also seeing increased opportunities for simulator upgrades and updates as defence forces look for ways to increase the amount of training done in a synthetic environment.”
USAF/Taiwan C-130 Training Support Services
Under subcontract to Lockheed Martin, CAE will continue providing a range of maintenance and support services for the United States Air Force (USAF). CAE will provide maintenance, logistics and engineering support services to support the USAF C-130J Maintenance and Aircrew Training System program as well as the C-130 Aircrew Training System program. In addition, CAE will provide maintenance and support services for the CAE-built C-130H training devices operated by the Taiwan Air Force.
U.S. Navy MH-60S
CAE will perform upgrades on U.S. Navy MH-60S operational flight trainers and weapons tactics trainers to increase training system fidelity as well as maintain concurrency with current aircraft upgrades. The MH-60S training device upgrades include updating the aircraft operational program and aerodynamics model, as well as incorporating updates related to weapons and airborne mine counter measures.
German Armed Forces
CAE was recently awarded one-year contract extensions by the German Armed Forces to continue providing on-site maintenance for flight simulation equipment. CAE’s annual support service contracts with the German Armed Forces covers the maintenance of flight simulators for fighter aircraft, transport aircraft, and helicopters. CAE has engineers and technicians at more than 20 sites in Europe to maintain almost every flight simulator in service with the German Armed Forces.
