China Airlines to Lease Three New Boeing 737-800 Aircraft

 International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC), a wholly owned subsidiary of American International Group, Inc. (NYSE: AIG), announced today that it had entered into a leasing agreement with China Airlines for three new Boeing 737-800s. These aircraft are scheduled for delivery to China Airlines in the second quarter of 2013.

“China Airlines looks forward to receiving these new airplanes from ILFC as they will provide us the ability to continue our high-level of service for our customers,” said China Airlines President Mr. Huang-Hsiang Sun.

“ILFC is pleased to expand our business relationship with China Airlines via the addition of these new 737-800 aircraft, and we look forward to continuing to support the airline’s growth and success in the future,” ILFC’s Head of Asia-Pacific Dave Nixon.

ILFC has recently opened up new offices in Singapore and Beijing in order to support the Asia-Pacific region and strengthen its relationships with airline customers in the region.
