Spring is in the Air at Frankfurt Airport: FRA’s Visitors’ Terrace Reopens on March 25

 The Sunday of the first spring weekend of 2012 – Frankfurt Airport’s Visitors’ Terrace at Terminal 2 will reopen for the new season. Along with the panoramic view of the airfield, the first guests of the year will be entertained with a spring program of live music, contests and other interesting attractions. Students from the Städelschule art school (www.staedelschule.de), which is affiliated with Frankfurt am Main’s famous Städel Museum (www.staedelmuseum.de), will exhibit site-specific works under the theme “Take Off”. There will be entertainment for youngsters, including balloon modeling and face-painting. In addition, Airport Tours will be offered every half hour from 11:00 to 18:00 on Sunday for those interested in an exciting close-up view of airport operations. Many of the airport shops, bars and restaurants will herald in the spring with their attractive new spring collections and offers. Convenient parking in the Terminal 2 underground garage will only cost €5.00 from 10:00 to 19:00 hours on opening day Sunday. 


Beginning March 26, the Frankfurt Airport Visitors’ Terrace will be open regularly from 10:00 to 18:00 hours each day. Fraport’s Airport Tours program will run daily, starting on the hour from 13:00 to 16:00.
