Six of Portugal’s most renowned chefs create dishes for the airline
Luís Baena, Henrique Sá Pessoa, Ljubomir Stanisic, Leonel Pereira, Marco Gomes and Miguel Castro e Silva join TAP’s culinary consultant, Vítor Sobral, to offer TAP passengers dishes inspired by the best Portuguese tradition during the upcoming months.
There will be 12 recipes in all, based on veal and two of the most typical ingredients in Portuguese cuisine, salt cod and octopus.
Between November 2011 and October 2012, TAP business class passengers will be able to choose these special dishes – a new one each month – created by this all-star team of Portuguese chefs.
This initiative further reinforces TAP’s role as an international showcase of the essence of Portuguese culture, cuisine and wine-making. In the same vein, the American magazine Global Traveler recently recognised three Portuguese wines served on board TAP flights as being among the best served by airlines around the world.
