JetBlue Begins the Only International Service from Westchester County Airport to Nassau, Bahamas

JetBlue Airways (Nasdaq: JBLU) today is pleased to announce the launch of the only international flight out of Westchester County Airport (HPN) with daily nonstop service to Nassau, Bahamas (NAS), offering customers just north of New York City the perfect escape from the cold this winter.

To kick off a week-long celebration of new service announcements, today JetBlue Getaways will be giving away five four-day, three-night vacation packages for two including roundtrip airfare and hotel accommodations to Nassau, Bahamas (a). Customers can visit jetblue.com/instantwin to receive a virtual scratch off card for their chance to win. Tomorrow through Saturday, customers can also enter for a chance to win one of five vacation packages each day to La Romana, Dominican Republic as well as Liberia, Costa Rica, St. Thomas and St. Croix, respectively. Everyone who enters to win will also receive a $50 discount code off a future JetBlue Getaways vacation package.

“Nassau has been a great destination for JetBlue and we’re excited to provide service that will make it much easier for people in Westchester County and Connecticut to reach the Caribbean,” said JetBlue Director Schedule Planning Dave Clark. “A lot of our JFK customers live in Westchester County and Connecticut and would prefer to fly from their community airport, so we are providing what they asked for, nonstop service to a fantastic Caribbean destination from the airport right in their community.” [Full video interview at https://blog.jetblue.com/?p=18305].

“JetBlue has been a great asset to our airport and to Westchester County residents, with its schedule of prime destinations. This latest flight to Nassau enhances that,” said Westchester County Executive Robert P. Astorino. “I also want the residents of the Bahamas to know that Westchester County is a great place for them to visit.”

“This addition of nonstop service from Westchester to Nassau represents the continuing growth of a most successful partnership between The Bahamas and JetBlue,” said the Minister of Tourism & Aviation Vincent Vanderpool-Wallace. “We believe that success is owed largely to the wonderful match between JetBlue customers and Bahamas vacationers and we will continue to look for other such opportunities to enable travelers to enjoy the culture, cuisine and the world’s clearest waters of The Bahamas.”
