Traditionally, on the third Thursday of November, Beaujolais Nouveau wine is flown all over the world to be enjoyed by millions of people.

Of the total exports of Beaujolais Nouveau, 73% is sent to Japan, 11% to the rest of Asia and 11% to North America.

To coordinate the arrival of the wine throughout the world, between 28 October and 13 November Air France Cargo carried close to 1,000 tonnes of Beaujolais Nouveau, or about one million bottles.

Even if Air France is ahead of schedule in its deliveries, the official date for opening the wine is not until Thursday 17 November.

Every year, the Air France – KLM group carries 1.5 million tonnes of cargo. This is the group’s 2nd most important activity, representing 12% of its turnover.
