Easyjet launches pan-European campaign
UK airline operator Easyjet has revealed a new pan-European advertising campaign with elements across TV, print, outdoor and online.
‘Europe by Easyjet’ was created by VCCP and celebrates the reasons why people travel. The TV spot features the recently-released tune Techno Fan by the Wombats and photography was undertaken by award-winning photographer Elaine Constantine. The online element allows customers to upload photos showing their own travelling experiences, with some of the best images to be used in forthcoming ads. Media planning and buying was handled by OMD.
“Easyjet is all about connecting people, not just to destinations but to other people – family, friends, clients – as well as to all the many different experiences to be had all over Europe,” said VCCP executive creative director Darren Bailes. “The campaign celebrates all the reasons we travel by asking the simple question ‘Where are you going’ – and answering the question by showing all kinds of shared moments, the moments we remember long after we get home.”
The campaign will run throughout the year in France, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Germany and the UK.
Last week, Easyjet founder and largest share holder, Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, revealed plans to set up a new low budget airline called Fastjet.
