Bluegrass Airlines Launch The GARSA 2011

Bluegrass Airlines have officially launched the Great Air Rally of South America 2011 (GARSA 2011) as the next event in the Great Air Rally Grand Prix (GAR GP) series.Following on from the earlier events in the year, this next GAR GP event steps it up a notch. The event involves 10 flights through Colombia, South America. Starting in the capital, Bogota, in the Andes, the route presents some challenging navigation and flying in hot and high conditions.

No turboprops here, this is for piston engines only and the skill of leaning the mixture for optimum performance at altitude. And all this whilst still potentially flying under VFR conditions, albeit, the weather and the mountains will dictate some IFR conditions at times.

So, if you are interested in testing your skills under different flying conditions, or are interested in flying in a different part of the world, join in the fun of the GARSA 2011.
