KTEX – Approach to Telluride Free Mission

The Telluride Regional Airport is the highest commercial airport in the United States with an elevation of 9,078 feet above sea level. It is surrounded closely by mountains of over 14,000 feet. Telluride’s short runway and instrument approach procedures do not accommodate larger jet aircraft that also lack the performance to utilize this high altitude field effectively.

I have designed that free mission to recreate a realistic approach using a default FSX Beechcraft King Air 300.

The mission starts at 18000 feet, about 70Nm from Telluride Airport, and you will experience an IFR approach plate.

Activate the ATC windows and follow detailed instruction. Real weather is active in this flight, so, arrival runway depends by weather condition.
