FS2004 SAAF Kittyhawk Mk.III DB-H, 2 Sqn SAAF, North Africa WWII. The Curtiss Kittyhawk was used extensively in WWII during the desert campaign in North Africa by the Commonwealth air forces. Among these Commonwealth air forces was the South African Air Force or SAAF. This Kittyhawk Mk.III serial EW421 “DB-H” is painted in desert camo with a springbok insignia on the engine inlet to signify it is part of the SAAF. This particular Kittyhawk was flown by the OC of SAAF 2 Squadron, Major DB Hauptfleish. Textures only. Repaint by Morne Pieters.
